Holiday Arts Break #3

by admin

Today we share our final Holiday Arts Break inspired by the New York International Children’s Film Festival’s Kid Flicks programs. (You can view these fantastic short films from around the world in our virtual screening room through December 31st.) We hope that these Arts Breaks spark meaningful family discussions and encourage kids of all ages to stay creative and connected through the holiday season.

Mi Hermano Luca is the second film in the third program, Viva Kid Flicks. This animated short film tells the story of an imaginative little girl who discovers that her older brother might have superpowers, so she sets out on a quest to make sure everyone else sees him as she does. Young viewers who are not Spanish speakers may need help with the English subtitles, but the themes about family and celebrating differences are universal.
