What’s happening at The Picture House

Festivals are Blooming at TPH This Spring

by Laura deBuys

With the advent of spring, we’re moving into festival mode at The Picture House. Now that we have 5 theaters with seating from 14 to 308 our festival capabilities are much expanded!

With The Italian American Forum, we’re presenting the Westchester Italian Film Festival from April 21-23. Don’t miss opening night at TPH Bronxville with incredible Italian desserts, wines, and Pelham’s own Will Nunziata in a Q&A after a screening of his short film, The Old Guitarist. You’ll hear from Will directly in a future post on The Marquee.

May brings our very first annual Voice & Vision Film Festival — four days filled with films, celebrations, filmmaker workshops, and more! The festival is dedicated to connecting artists with audiences, emerging filmmakers with their established counterparts, and communities with voices that build — and strengthen — bridges.

The Voice & Vision Film Festival will be a celebration of film, a boost to the local economy, and a reflection of The Picture House Regional Film Center’s commitment to “deepen the discourse, raise new voices, and broaden horizons.” Clear your calendars from May 18-21 and join our honorees: British-American actress and Picture House Ambassador Hayley Atwell (she’s also Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible 7 and 8 co-star); star of stage, screen, and television, Lorraine Toussaint; and sound supervisor extraordinaire, Stephanie Diaz-Matos for a weekend of learning, watching, listening, and enjoying remarkable films.
