Party with The Picture House: Two Can’t-Miss Events This Fall

by Laura deBuys

With our Centennial behind us and programming in full swing at Bronxville and Pelham, this fall will be a time for reviving old traditions and inaugurating new ones. You may have seen a Save the Date or two come through your email recently. I hope you have duly marked your calendars!

Picnic in the Park is back after a two-year Covid-induced hiatus! On Saturday, September 10th, the evening will start with a screening (look out for an announcement of which film you’ll see) followed by a picnic under a tent in Wolfs Lane Park across from the Pelham theater. There will be food trucks, picnic tables, DJ Stephen Byfield — it’s a great just-back-from-summer-survived-the-beginning-of-the-school-year event.

Party on Kraft — Friday, October 14th at the Bronxville theater — will be a bit different. There will be films on all three screens, a great party in the lobby and a contiguous tent extending onto Kraft Avenue. Great food, dancing, rubbing elbows with movers and shakers from Westchester and beyond, and the announcement of a new and wonderful TPH tradition.

The events are different — but they are focused on the same goal: bringing The Picture House community together and generating support for all of the exciting programming we have coming your way. With up to 65% of your ticket price going back to the film distributors, your kind support funds our work. We can’t provide the film, education, and community programming we’re known for without your help.

With best wishes for a terrific summer — and hopes that we’ll see you at both parties!

In the fall,
Laura
